D&AD Entry 2010

Entry for the Arjowiggins Blank Sheet Project brief for D&AD 2011. The idea was to communicate with the design world about the importance of being eco friendly. I did this by using fables and rhymes as a catalyst for the message. Please read the boards for more info. Also the animation I did for this will be posted shortly. Unfortunately I didn't get through!

Ail Symudiad 'Rifiera Gymraeg' CD artwork

This was the CD artwork for Ail Symudiad's latest album 'Rifiera Gymraeg' released by Fflach Records. The band is led by my father and uncle, and have been active since the late 70s. I now play lead guitar for the band, while my brother plays drums! For more info on Ail Symudiad visit www.ailsymudiad.co.uk, or order CDs from www.fflach.co.uk. Alternatively you can purchase this album, along with others from itunes.

Cold typography

One of my loves in design is 3D type. This was created for a college brief which was to create a typographical piece depicting your chosen word. 'Cold' was created using ice letters freezed in a mould and then placed in a freezer. I also experimented with food colouring with some moulds which were not as effective in my opinion.

British Glove Association Poster

This was an entry for the British Glove Association Poster in 2010. The theme was to inform construction yard workers the importance of wearing gloves. It was amazing how effective tissue paper, red food colouring and black pen could be! Well, it was fun anyway.

Ty Nant Awards 2010

This was my poster entry for the Coleg Sir Gar Ty Nant Awards 2010. The competition was open to 2nd year Graphic Design & Photography students. I based the poster around the growing eco-ethic of Ty Nant, hence the slogan - 'a greener Ty Nant'.

Here was the informative motion graphic which I created alongside the poster. All graphics, music and voice overs were done by myself. The video is now used on the Ty Nant website as part of their eco-awareness campaign.
